I was singing NOEL and Ivy started singing it too. It was the cutest thing ever, she even got the tune down. My baby girl is the cutest baby ever, she's tough and cute at the same time........just like her mommy! =P

R&R and the inevitable test

R&R was great, we did so many things. We tried to fit as much as we could into the three weeks he was here.
We went to San Antonio - which I have never been to in the three years I've lived here - and we walked and road the river walk. It was so much fun! I really liked the music they had, it was some kind of flute band that covered many popular songs. Oh, and I tripped coming down the main bridged in the middle of the plaza. Yeah, everyone saw. ROTFLMBO!!
We saw the Alamo, it was so awesome. I couldn't believe how small it was. It looked even smaller being surrounded by many tall buildings and skyscrapers. It was so amazing overall. I love history and it has such a wonderful one. We learned so much!
We FINALLY went to IKEA (LOL) - now I can join the cool club...huh A.B.? It was pretty cool but I did get pretty PO at the people at the playroom. They apparently only had one slot available. They asked if we just wanted the one. I was like, "Are you kidding me, I'm not leaving one of my kids playing in a playroom while my other one gets jiffed" They just couldn't make ONE exception for a pair of brothers. Whatever I just took my kids with me.
We went to Sea World (I dig the San Diego one better!lol) but I did get to feed and touch a dolphin..oooh so super cool! I think I was more exited than the kids. LOL. The kids totally loved Sea World. Last time we went, Erick was one year old and Adam was just a baby. We got splashed like no other, seriously...like no other, we were the only ones that got completely soaked. How embarrassing!! lol. Erick rode his first roller coaster in which I missed because Mr. Adam decided last minute (like always, never fails) he had to go pee. We ran to the bathroom (it was such a comical scene). I ran with Ivy on my hip and Odin in the stroller and Adam holding on the stroller in which I almost had no control over trying to steer with one hand. Poor Adam was being flung back and forth and sideways where his feet would leave the floor. that was funny. Erick fed some birds that he wasn't suppose to be feeding but that's Erick for ya. lol.
Erick also took us to the wildlife farm in Copperas Cove which we loved!! We got to feed so many cool animals and we loved running from the horrible and crazy Ostrich. Those things are crazy! Then a camel got in Erick's window because the Mr. was too busy looking at my window. He rammed his WHOLE head and NECK in the van trying to get a MY feed. He was ignoring Erick in which Erick then later joked that the Camel had a crush on me and he was gonna take me to Iraq so I can go marry one. DORK! Erick is extremely strong but even he couldn't get the camel out of the car. LOL. It was so much fun and so much better than the one San Antonio. We went to another ranch but this was a so-called SAFARI RANCH, twice as expensive and the animals we not so interested in us as the ones in CC were. They did have Giraffes (MY FAVORITE ANIMAL) but they were not out in the open they were caged somewhere else. It was a total disappointment for Erick and I but the kids were exited as always. Erick Jr. DID say he wanted to go the other one where the animals eat from his hand. =) The family has spoken! hahaha.
Over all, it was so much fun. I couldn't believe it passed by so fast but again, that's the way we all (military wives) feel. Sucks! Now he's gone and is having a horrible time traveling. He called me today telling me they flew some place just to get flown back. He hates traveling to and from the middle east. Poor baby.
Anyhow, that's a little bit of what we did. Now I just took a pregnancy test so I have to go check it. LOL. I'm frigging' out. lol. =P

No amount of words could ever express...

Not long ago, I found out the most horrifying news ever. I'm so crushed for my friend and her family, my thoughts, my prayers, my heart goes out to them. I feel the worse for not knowing this earlier but it's only my fault for not being active in my friends' lives. I've been so bottled up and shelled in just trying to figure out many things that I ignored everything else around me. I'm so sorry.

Silly Willy Daddy Issues

Yesterday I was talking to my dad on the phone sitting on the stairs with Ivy next to me, I tried to stroke her hair (like I always do) and she turned around with a very mean look - I'm talking starring from under her brow and pouting her lips! - she then yelled "HEY! DON'T DO THAT!!" (very clearly!!) I was shocked! What? What do you mean, 'don't do that'??? I sort of chuckled after I got pass the shock. I grabbed her little arms and got right in her face (playfully) "You, Missy, are my daughter and I will love and hug and touch you if I want to. You can tell me if you don't want me to, but you don't have to yell at me. Now, why don't you want me to touch your hair?". She then looks down as though I had punished her and she looks at me sad and about to cry and says, "I miss papa" ....WHAT???? I didn't even think she ACTUALLY knew who he was. I guess it's my fault, ahahaha, I do tell them who he is. I just didn't think she would catch on so quickly, the boys never did. hahaha. I felt horrible and I told her that daddy will be here soon - I can FINALLY make good on that because he, indeed, will be here soon.

I'm SO super psyched as so are the boys. Everyday when they wake up they stare out the window. When I ask them what they are doing, they ask me, "When Daddy coming home?" Aren't they cute? Well, we'll see how things go when Daddy arrives. I know it's gonna be awkward for the kids, it always is. =P

Odin's 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday my little love.

Yup, today is the day my Odin turns 1. Should be a happy day but I can't say I'm too happy about it. These past months have been very difficult for him and I. He's been sick and I feel cheated. Him being sick and trying to find out what was wrong resulting in tens and tens of Dr. appts have really taken away those special Mommy & Baby moments. I never really got to play with him like I would have liked to, take him out on many strolls or throw him in the air as a baby like I did the rest because I feared I would cause even more damage. I feel like he's been more of a lab rat than a baby due to all the dang Dr. visits. I honestly think he's spent more time in the hospital than the outdoors. I really wish I could just turn back time and say " the heck with all the doctors, I'm gonna enjoy my baby." But I can't.

As for today, our day was alright. We didn't do anything too special. He's been irritable all day so our trip to the circus we planned just went out the window. I've tried what I can to make him happy and got some smiles outta him. I really wish that he'd get better and make an attempt to just sit without freaking out that I'm a foot away - the OT is trying to figure that one out because I just can't. If I pull away he cries for dear life and freaks out - even an inch - he's pulling my hair, scratching me, hitting me just trying to get his body close to me again. This is not how I imagined his first birthday, but I am trying to make the best of it.........even now. We'll see how we welcome tomorrow.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

The day just can't get any better, my kid's doing good and to top it off..........CSI SEASON PREMIER IS TONIGHT!!!! 9PM, don't miss it! "My name is Christy and I'm a CSI addict." I've been counting down the months, weeks, days and now hours........what will happen with Warrick? Did anyone consider Greg's feelings?? Who will be charged with his murder?? Tun tun tun! Tune in...we will soon find out. ......................................................Okay, well, catch you all laters, gotta put the kids to sleep early and bring out the popcorn, it's show time!

Parent Teacher Conference

I tell ya, I think Erick's teacher is intimidated by me. I noticed she only gets nervous and apprehensive when she talks to me. Must've been that meeting I had with her and the principal earlier in the year. LOL. She apparently thinks I'm one of those parents who doesn't care and simply sends her kid off to school. Guess what?I'm not and I'm her worse nightmare...........today was not exception and it showed. I'm not trying to be mean, but if it scares her into treating my kid with respect, why not? ::sinister laugh::

Anyway.....I'm soo super happy and extremely proud of my boy. Erick is doing great! He's #2 in his class and his speech and listening skills have been improving greatly. #1 is a kid who's a year older than him and has great speech, listening & comprehensive skills. In a perfect world, Erick would have left the kid in the dust. LOL. I'm mean. I know it's not a competition, but it feels good when your kid's teacher tells you he's doing more than super! And no, it wasn't because she's scared of me. LOL. So, Saturday we'll be going to the Ice Cream parlor to get him his very deserving treat! Happy Happy Joy Joy. I'm a proud Mama, can you tell? Wait 'til I tell his Papa!
